Emilia has been practicing yoga since 2005. What started off as casual dabbling in yoga as a purely physical practice has evolved into an ongoing practice of personal growth. Yoga, in Emilia's eyes, is a tool for self-exploration that unites the spiritual and physical realms of one’s being, and invites us to connect to everything outside of ourselves.
Emilia practices and teaches hatha yoga with an emphasis on alignment. Correct alignment keeps practitioners safe from injury and sets the body up to release the patterns of tension and holding that prevent our breath and life force to flow freely throughout the body. Through correct alignment we find greater space and ease.
In addition to hatha yoga, Emilia practices and teaches Yamuna® Body Rolling, a self-care modality akin to self-massage that use balls of different sizes and densities to systematically stimulate bone, release myofascial adhesions, lengthen muscles and open joints. while increasing core strength and muscle tone. YBR helps you re-establish a more beneficial structural alignment and, like yoga, break down barriers to the free flow of energy.
